Distinguished Details

I recently had my car detailed with Quinn and his crew at Distinguished Detail. This was the first time I have had anyone other than myself wash or detail my car. My car isn't the fanciest vehicle around, but I go out of my way to take care of it so it will last a long time and look good for as long as possible. Regardless, it is hard for me to trust anyone with touching or cleaning my car and I have been doing it myself for a long time but wanted to save myself a backache. I know that if you are reading this review and are looking for someone to take care of your baby, you are probably like me and very choosy and careful when it comes to your car. And I have to say, immediately after the wash and for the last few days, I remain incredibly impressed! Quinn took the time to explain that they use a two bucket wash method and as my car has a full front PPF, they are very careful not to peel or damage the edges of the film. After receiving my car back, I can testify they did such a high quality job; I am incredibly wary of swirls and scuffs on the car and their wash and detail made the paint pop and glisten. They take care to avoid swirls, and in the Lubbock sun, I saw that they took excellent care! My car was quite dirty and dusty (not soiled or caked in mud as cars sometimes tend to do out here in Lubbock) but after coming here, to me the car looks as new as the day I bought it. Perhaps even better! Speaking to Quinn, you can tell he is very enthusiastic about his work and passionate about the services he offers and the industry he is in. Him and his crew are EXACTLY the type of folks you want working on your hard earned vehicle. After the work performed, I can tell anyone reading this review that I trust Distinguished Detail with my vehicle. I have posted some photos of the car just after the wash and detailing, and a few from cars and coffee the day after the wash to show off his work. After speaking to him, I was confident this is the place for a proper wash and detail, and after seeing the work, I am sold that these are the guys to work on ALL my vehicles. I plan to get a paint correction and full ceramic coating with Distinguished Detail, and if their work on just washing my car is any indication, I am thrilled to see what they will do next with it!

Magicians!!!! Wrapped my Tesla Model S in matte black and painted the trim gloss black. Drop dead gorgeous! (Was white and silver chrome). Service and communication are excellent. Price is on point. Will be returning ….. Recommend without any reservations!

Let me start by saying that this is a good group of guys that are great at detailing. I’ve had full front ppf, decontamination, and a level one detail done on the car that all turned out great. They offer fair prices and are great at communicating. My issue came with my tint. I had every piece of glass in my Tesla model 3 tinted. First go I had the side, rear, and front glass tinted. Unfortunately, there were hairs and other contaminants in the front passenger, rear driver, and rear driver pilot window. Took it back and they completely replaced the mentioned tint and it looked great. I still had some contaminants and a couple of small pockets in the rear window and windshield which I reluctantly let go. Assuming this was just a one-time mistake, I brought it back again for a front brow and sunroof tint. Again, there were contaminants in the glass, a sizable bubble, and glue stains. This time was much worse. I was upset, but once again, I decided to have them fix it, which they did without a question. Third try, they did seem to get it much cleaner with no contaminants, but then I discovered a couple of obvious gaps in the tint (pictured). I showed them at the time of service and they refunded $150 for the current service (top part of rear windshield). I decided to reach out to Quinn and request a refund for the top glass as well ($200). He was very apologetic and refunded the full amount plus the $50 warranty on the tint. While I am frustrated about the mistakes, I appreciate his willingness to make it right. Again, these guys offer top notch customer service, I just wish there was more attention to detail and quality checks on the tint before giving handing it over to a customer. I respect most of the work these guys do and I would recommend them for ppf and detailing. However, I cannot recommend them when it comes to tint after all of these issues. If you are someone who is particular about your vehicle’s tint and values the details, I would look elsewhere. It seems like they just can’t get it right. I’ve had my previous two vehicles tinted at another shop in the DFW area and never had any issues like this. I really wanted to be a long-term customer, but unfortunately there have been too many mistakes and issues to justify any further business.
