XPEL FUSION PLUS: warranty and installer guide
Reviewed
FUSION PLUS names a coating family, not one warranty duration. XPEL’s current document index separates Paint & PPF, Classic, Premium v2 and other surface products. Have the installer name the exact version on the quote.
Manufacturer documents
- Published warranty
- Paint & PPF: four years. Premium v2: eight years. Both documents cover specified finish failures subject to manufacturing-defect and maintenance conditions; they are not promises against all paint damage.
- Required maintenance
- Premium v2 requires annual inspection within 30 days either side of the anniversary. The owner pays installer charges, including the service/top-up described in the document. The fee amount is not fixed there.
- Installer requirements
- Professional installation under XPEL’s instructions. Premium v2 inspection must be performed by an XPEL-certified Fusion installer; keep inspection proof.
- Excluded damage
- The reviewed Paint & PPF and Premium v2 warranties exclude scratches, stone chips, water spots and improper washing. Coating coverage is separate from the underlying film warranty.
- Transfer
- The reviewed warranties allow the remaining term to transfer with proof of the original installation date.
- Installed price
- Unknown without a quote. Paint, PPF and additional surfaces must be identified separately.
What changes the buying decision
A shop advertising only “XPEL FUSION” has not identified whether its package is Paint & PPF, Premium v2 or another version. Compare the version, covered surfaces and annual bill before treating the longer warranty as better value. Film protection and a coating’s finish warranty answer different questions.
Our comparison is based on the linked documents, not a coating test. Confirm current terms and regional coverage before booking.
