Opti-Coat Pro Plus: warranty and installer guide
Reviewed
Opti-Coat Pro Plus, also shown as Pro+, combines Pro with an additional layer. Its advertised seven-year warranty applies only to qualifying newer vehicles. It should not be confused with Pro3 or the motorcycle product.
Manufacturer documents
- Published warranty
- Seven years for vehicles up to five model years old; three for six-to-ten-model-year vehicles. Older-than-ten-model-year vehicles are not eligible under the reviewed US/Canada terms.
- Required maintenance
- The range page says terms up to ten years do not require annual maintenance. Follow the separate care instructions; ask whether a proposed service is recommended or contractually required.
- Installer requirements
- Warranty registration is performed by an Authorized Opti-Coat Installer. Retain its email confirmation and the invoice.
- Coating construction
- The manufacturer describes a two-layer system: Opti-Coat Pro plus the Pro Plus layer.
- Coverage limits
- Coverage is non-transferable. Commercial use, matte/non-clear-coated finishes and specified impact, wash and tap-water damage are excluded.
- Installed price
- Unknown nationally. Compare the extra layer, preparation and surfaces on an itemized quote.
What changes the buying decision
A newer vehicle may qualify for seven years with Pro Plus versus five with Pro. For a six-to-ten-model-year vehicle the reviewed warranty gives both three years. The extra layer may still be part of the choice, but the headline alone does not justify a price difference for that older car.
Our comparison is based on the linked documents, not a coating test. Confirm current terms and regional coverage before booking.

Questions for the installer
- Does the invoice name Pro Plus / Pro+, rather than Pro or Pro3?
- What warranty term will be registered for my model year?
- Is the quoted recurring service optional or a manufacturer requirement?
